Gigante is kinda creepy.
Also, he autographed my wife’s hat – my son saw him autographing other kids’ hats, so he stole my mom’s and ran over to give it to him.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that pie > cake, that Bochy is endowed by his creator with certain undeniable traits, that among these are veteran man-love, a gigantic skull, and the pursuit of the double switch.
Adopted Giant: Fred Lewis, who can still draw a walk.
Who is this pitcher for Stockton? His pitching motion hardly exists.

I have no Hometown
But I do have Joe Ritzo on internet radio! Just in time for the big man to go down on three strikes.
Grant you paying attention to this Warriors madness tonight? Sounds like they’re close to giving up too much for Amare, which ends up being a mixed bag because great players largely determine the NBA.
Too much for Amare? Did Biedrins develop a 20-footer last month? I mean, I love Belly and Branden Wright in their own special, Fred Lewis kind of flawed prospect kind of way, and Biedrins is a heckuva player, but Amare?
Amare!
Amare + what I think Randolph can be = perennial playoff team. One more piece, and they can be much, much more.

plus, STEPHEN CURRY!
Brand new adoptive daddy for the Big Unit. Congrats go out to my son for his 300th win. Only 211 more wins until he catches Cy Young!
by Speedforthewin on Jun 25, 2009 8:25 PM PDT up reply actions
Maybe. I’d like to keep him, for sure. I’d hope that the #14 (Clark) would come back to the Warriors if Curry is involved.
by Grant Brisbee on Jun 25, 2009 8:32 PM PDT up reply actions
That's the thing
I warmed up to the Curry pick really quickly. I don’t like the idea of giving them five cheap, young, productive players for 1. Four guys I could accept but still think is a bit much for an expensive, moody player with a massive and somewhat unprecedented surgery in his past.
Three guys – AB, BW, and one of the others even Curry – I think would be most appropriate.
by Stoned Slacker on Jun 25, 2009 8:43 PM PDT up reply actions
I’m kind of with you, but then I ask myself, “Really, is Belinelli a dealbreaker for Amare?” And a Curry/Monta backcourt would be a defensive nightmare, so they couldn’t be on the floor together too much.
by Grant Brisbee on Jun 25, 2009 8:53 PM PDT up reply actions
All true
But its the Suns that are the broke team that desperately needs to shed salary, can’t they let the Ws be the team dealing from the position of strength for once!
by Stoned Slacker on Jun 25, 2009 9:00 PM PDT up reply actions
True enough. It’d be hard for another team to match the Warriors quantity/quality offer. Maybe that’s why Marcus Thompson thinks the Warriors might hold on to Curry.

Who is this Ramon Castro character DHing in Connecticut? Can’t be a catcher, so is it the old guy that was on the A’s before?

Just got back from the game
Kid was too tired, can’t blame her she’s only 17 months …
Noonen did not impress me. Had a good walk, but was thrown out going to 3rd with 2 outs and man on 1st and 2nd (wtf?)
AnVil looks overmatched at the plate.
Kieschnick’s got a solid swing going, good pop.
Posey was visibly pissed on that dribbler that week made a good play on. He looks like he cares. Received the ball rather well.
Joe Martinez looked good, though he struck some ppl out on some terrible pitches in the dirt.
The crowd was nice. Stadium was 80% full.
