He said the other day he was a terrible hitter and afraid of the ball in Little League, so he could definitely hit in the middle of this lineup.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that pie > cake, that Bochy is endowed by his creator with certain undeniable traits, that among these are veteran man-love, a gigantic skull, and the pursuit of the double switch.
Adopted Giant: Fred Lewis, who can still draw a walk.
I think I took too many pitches.

So when is the Rowand – leadoff hitter experiment going to end?
If you don’t want to play Ishi against a lefty, whatever. Then put Sandoval at 1st and DH somebody else.
Edgar Renteria hitting fifth might just be the most bizarre thing I have EVER seen in baseball. And that includes Randy Johnson fastballing a bird.

eww. Every time I see Aurilia in the lineup, I want to throw something. Renteria batting 5th, what the shit is that?
that said, whenever the giants throw out these weird lineups, they score 4+ runs, go figure.

No Lewis, No Ishi?
Wtf? Bochy, if Aurillia stays in the game against RHP, why the hell wouldn’t you let those guys hit against Lefties? This obsession with Torres (a 31 year old journeyman) is borderline ridiculous. Lewis is the better choice.
Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.
however, winn finally gets a day off. I only wish renteria could sit for a day

Both him and Holm are terrible. I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing back Molina for one season ONLY because I don’t think the Giants want Posey up until 2011.
I prefer Holm. Anecdotally, Holm just looks a lot better when I’ve seen him play. He also has a minor league OBP 50 points higher than Whiteside’s, though.

He looked reasonable to me. But again, that’s just anecdotal.

A's lineup
A. Kennedy, 2B
K. Suzuki, C
J. Cust, RF
M. Holliday, LF
J. Giambi, DH
O. Cabrera, SS
B. Crosby, 1B
R. Davis, CF
J. Hannahan, 3B
It never occurred to me that one man could play with the faith of 50 million.
Clearly, Bobby Crosby is such a great hitter that you HAVE to get him in the lineup, even though that means Jack Cust playing defense.

Jonathan Sanchez. He's left-handed, like Barry Zito. His fastball breaks 80, unlike Zito.
I think next game, we should get this out of the way early

I’ve developed an unhealthy love for iced coffee in the warm summer months for my afternoon caffeine fix.
But this was a nice change of pace.
Next time I’ll try it over ice instead of straight out of the bottle, and see if that makes my gums less sticky when I’m done.
