I’m pretty convinced this is the guy the Giants are going to take

Proud father of Juan Carlos Perez. Think Albert Pujols at second.
I’d be plenty happy with this pick.

I would rather have Matzek than Crow
anyone else agree?
waiting for 2011....
I agree
Aaron King is still my homeboy... iffy mechanics and all
If Dustin Pedroia played in Seattle, not many people would be talking about him.
I’d prefer Matzek, but I’d happy with either.

thanks for the link, baetown
Very much appreciated.
I’ve updated the article to reflect Law’s most recent report on Matzek. That would obviously be a huge development if true…a lefty with good feel at a young age, 3 average or better pitches, and a 94 – 96 mph fastball is a very rare bird.
But I always question reports about a sudden velocity increase unless it’s over the course of multiple games, so we’ll just have to see.
Lastly, I mentioned Matzek having a little length in his arm action. Watched MLB’s draft tracker video and felt his arm action was in fact fairly short. He was actually pretty quick from the point in which he broke his hands through release.
