“I will calmly wait for my induction to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Don’t I have the numbers to be inducted?” said Sosa, who presently serves the Dominican government as special ambassador for investment opportunities.

I don’t know what’s funnier, Sosa’s quote or his unbelievably shady-sounding job title.

Secret testing. Yeah. Right. Remember this if your employer ever asks you to participate in anonymous whatever, man.

No, really, I have updated my blog this year: http://skaldheim.livejournal.com/tag/baseball

Color me surprised.

I don’t have that one in my crayon box. Would you settle for being colored Macaroni and Cheese?

Whoever's leaking this shit

Needs to either leak the whole thing or STFU.

With the 4th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, the Sacramento Kings select Rickeke Flynenningday, point guard from Europe, Memphis, Syracuse, UCLA and Parts Unknown.

1. Luis Gonzales’ 2001 season still rankles me. The Diamondfucks’ Gonzales-aided .579 winning percentage 99-02 rankles me (specially their World Se … World Ser … I can’t even say it). That’s what I most wanna see discredited now.

2. Manny, Arod, Sosa – with each name that comes out, it rankles me more that Bonds didn’t play in 08 (say, first base for the San Francisco Giants), and, for that matter, isn’t playing now, and that he isn’t, say, closing in on 800 HR as we speak.

I don’t want to care, and it turns out that I don’t. So that works out pretty well for me.

My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.

this

it gets a short chuckle out of me, then I change the channel. I guess the one thing that irks me is Selig has the gall to come on ESPN and say that he is “appalled.” Really, Bud? Even if you are that surprised, do you expect anyone to believe you?
