OT: Matt Davidson featured on Padres pregame
On the Padres pregame show tonight, the announcers made mention of the draft and a few of the options the Padres had going into next week. Davidson appears to be in the mix at the No. 3 overall spot, given the pregame show has everything approved by the front office. One of the crew went up to Yucaipa, CA to interview Davidson inaction and get some one-on-one time. Fairly unexciting stuff, but maybe something to chew on.

I was hoping he’d slide down to our second pick. And he may yet. But this is disturbing news.

You’d think they would learn from Matt Bush, quite possibly the most spectacular bust ever. He is what would happen to Josh Hamilton if he had never come back

You would hope the Pads would learn from their history of mistakes with position players. Just their player personnel people are the same devout moneyball fools who won’t face any kind of job assessment until the offseason.
If Davidson turns out to be the pick, the Padres will be doing every team a favor once again.
It's always Noonan somewhere.
