He's healthy for once, he's hitting as usual, and he would seem to be a nice resolution to our 1B blackhole. I think a month is kind of early to give up on Ishikawa, but let's face it, most likely at best he's a low tiered 1B starter or platoon option/defensive replacement. Johnson only has this year left on his contract I think (don't quote me on this) and with his injury history and contract length, I doubt the Nats could command THAT much for him via trade.

So for fun, what would YOU realistically offer for Nick Johnson, and what do you think the Nats would want for him?

And for even more fun, what do you think it would cost to Ryan Zimmerman from the Nats? Granted he is their franchise player and probably untouchable, though there were rumors in the past of him being available, and the Nats are pretty starved for pitching and young talent. Do you think it's possible to get him without giving up guys like Posey, Bumgarner, Cain and Big V? Pipe dream part of the question, but make your pitches to Nats GM Mike Rizzo....
