My day

I missed all of this slashiness because I was working on a Cal League notebook, then getting my car (!!!!!!!!!!!) from the tow yard as they found it unscathed, and then getting plastered for Cinco de Mayo with my family.

I’m still drunk and in disbelief that my car is safe and in one piece.

Dilemma: I have the rental car through Saturday. I have to call the rental car place and ask them about getting a refund for the days I will not drive it. At first I was confused by this comment because my car is dark blue.

Oh, they are ridiculous. They kept telling me I had lost a book, I kept taking the librarian by the hand to the shelf and showing her the book on the shelf “Oh my, we’ll fix that right away!!!” A week later, I’d try to check out a book, they’d tell me that I’d never returned that same book that they had “taken care of” the week before.

The day I went in and they told me that my library card had expired …and it would be $2 to renew it… I told them where they could stick their library card, and I haven’t been back.

I usually get angry over people saying points instead of runs but European baseball fans are so adorable that I don’t mind! Yay European baseball fans! :D

I take issue with you supporting Zito more than saying points. Kidding. Sort of.

Do you follow Serie A over there? One of my bucket list items is to cover baseball on every continent with a permanent human population. Honkbal Hoofdklasse is my preferred European baseball league, but taking in some Serie A games wouldn’t be awful either.

Probable Pitchers in our next series vs. Smell-A

May 8th: Zito Vs. Billingsley (Giants gave Billingsley his only no decision last time we met)
May 9th: Sanchez Vs. Stults
May 10th: Lincecum (probable) vs. TBA (my guess is Jeff Weaver or James McDonald)

If their at home streak isn’t broken in the next 3 games vs. Arizona and Washington, I think we have a good shot at stopping the streak, and possibly winning 1 or 2 games if Zito and Lincecum come out strong and our offense produces. Sanchez is hit or miss…I think he’s too easily rattled and then the wildness and control issues come into play. He needs to take some fearless lessons from Timmy and Randy.
