Vote for Manny!
Not! If he wasn't a Dodger I really wouldn't care, but obviously he is, thus is evil. I'm going to vote as much as a can for Raul Ibanez and hope that Manny does not make the All-Star game.
Btw, who are(is?) our All Star(s) this year? Is it just going to be Timmy or do you think the manager will see Cain's shiny ERA and put him in too?

Is it not a problem that the woman have a smaller brain than a man? The government scientist Dr. Yamuka has proved it is size of squirrel.

I have been voting for Manny and Lastings Milledge every time I go to a game. The All-Star game is a joke and should be treated as such and I wonder if Manny got voted in if the media would take the hint that nobody except for them gives a rat’s ass about steroids.

Then why are you voting at all? If you don’t care, then don’t participate.

No.

Yeah,
kind of ruining it for people who actually DO care about the game.

yeah, if there are any such people, they deserve to have it ruined for them

Why?
That seems purely spiteful.

Exactly
And then create an All-Star Game where instead of fans voting, the starters are chosen by a panel of Joe Morgan, Joe Buck, Tim McCarver, John Kruk and Bud Selig.

The All-Star Game is what it is, which is to say, a spectacle. I’m not sure what else you want it to be.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that pie > cake, that Bochy is endowed by his creator with certain undeniable traits, that among these are veteran man-love, a gigantic skull, and the pursuit of the double switch.
Adopted Giant: Fred Lewis, who can still draw a walk.
I’d rather they just cancel the whole thing, but until then the best thing to do is mock it. I also voted for David Ortiz to participate in the HR Derby with all of the 18 ballots the usher gave me last Sunday.

We’re feeling a bit bitter, eh?
If you don’t like it, you’re free not to watch it.

It’s a joke Ibanez is number 6, it shows how silly the thing is. Do I think he’s the best OF in the NL? No. But he’s played like it, and he deserves it.
Proud father of Barry Zito. As long as he keeps throwing strikes, that is.
Hmmm
Why is Manny being made into a hero over his test, while Bonds was crucified without a test?
Insanity is just a state of mind.
1 it’s not making him into a hero, it’s a (stupid) way of making bud selig look like an asshole
2 crucifying bonds was a popular activity long before he ever took steroids
"he walked 18; new league record! Struck out 18, another new league record! He also hit the sportswriter, the PA announcer, the bull mascot twice..."

BONDS IS AN ASSHOLE!!!
Did you hear how he pushed over the team travelling agent? And that one time he got in a dugout fight with Kevin Youklis and refused to play for his team until they agreed to trade him? HAY WAIT A SECOND
Semi-proud adoptive father of Scott Barnes.
Agreed, but I do love the idea of Lastings Milledge making the team

Why, so a struggling player with a broken finger can be embarrassed by being voted an All-Star? He sucked after he was sent down – hardly going to embarrass the Nationals if he’s voted in, they did the right thing there.

i don't know what all this fuss is about...
i’m voting for dwight winn.
Dodgers fans eat their young.
from mlb.com's nl all star vote updates comments section
Bengie Molina deserves to start for the All Star game…sure he does not have speed but he has discipline at the plate…can hit the ball well…and is a good defensive catcher…Manny Ramirez should not even be up there just because he will be out for 50 games…Adrian Gonzalez should be the 1st baseman
Interesting…he’s so wrong on one thing, but kind of right on another (gonzalez – not sure if he should be starting or not, but definitely should be at least top 2 in votes. I can’t believe he’s not even top 5)
Less arm, more talk. Raisingcain is a GAMER.
Adopted Giant: Henry Sosa
Wow, if Bengie Molina has good plate discipline, what did Bonds have?
Brandon Crawford: Your 2011 Opening Day starting SS!
Wilriv21: "Your" as in your SF Giants.
He’s talking about the dinner plate zing new fat joke!
My Dave Righetti is better than your Dave Righetti.

Hell
Why not vote for Manny and then write in Bonds and Sheffield’s name? You could have an all steroid NL OF.
I will never vote for a Dodger
fuck them. I don’t want any in the ASG.

I haven’t really cared about the ASG outside of when it was here. The peripheral events are more fun anyway, as they’re treated like a celebration of the game and just for fun. Y’know, like the ASG should be. The Futures Game is always my main attraction. The HR Derby is fun.
