I’m getting the Mexican coat of arms in kanji.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one.

The characters for eagle, snake, thorn (for catcus), and water. The eagle is symbolic of the Mexican people, the snake, their enemies, the thorns, the struggle through the people’s history and the defiant eagle resting on the thorns, and the water as Mexico’s indigenous origins.

I was frustrated with the literal translations of the things I wanted before, resulting often in sexist language and just flat out incorrect translations. This is actually perfect for me, as it’s unique and it’s me through and through. A Mexican who happens to speak Japanese.
