Around SBN: My First Fight: Diego Sanchez

Not exactly something you hear everyday on ESPN. This is the same AAAA pitcher that we brought up for a couple spot starts last year, posting a shiny ERA of 8.53 with an even shinier WHIP of 2.37.

Is this guy just getting lucky being on a team that can hit once in a while and pitching out of his mind so far, or did we miss out on another diamond in the rough?

We saw him pitching for the Grizzlies here in Sac (vs. the Rivercats) he was horrible. Maybe he’s learned how to throw the little white thing over the other bigger white thing.

Give him once through the league, then we’ll talk about missed opportunities. The 2 times I saw him (also once with the big club) he tweren’t nuttin’ special.

luck, good defense.

Randy Winn is going to catch that. And he'll do it real classy-like too.

The short answer is no, the long answer is absolutely not. I hope he succeeds, but he has a 4.7 era, and a 5.18 FIP. He’s just gotten some good run support at the right time. His BABIP is 220 after all.

Proud father of Barry Zito. As long as he keeps throwing strikes, that is.

At least some of it has to be luck considering his BABIP against is .211

Given the FIP of 5.29, I’d say he already does…

Not worried about this one

Even Ryan Jensen had a nice start to his career

Did pitch Sunday vs. the Dodgers and pitched poorly. He didn’t get out of the 5th inning giving up 4 earned runs.

I liked Matt Palmer...

Probably lots of luck, but I’d really have to look more into it.
I hope he does well though.

trust us, he wouldn’t be going for his 6th win if he was still on the Giants.
