He ought to be quietly studying and interviewing GM candidates so that Sabean can be kicked upstairs (or fired outright) sometime between the All-Star break and the beginning of September. You want to make a GM change well in advance of the offseason so the new guy has some time to assess things and plan his moves for the offseason.

I don't see why not.

We can stuff the ballot box to get Molina in (I mean he’s deserving enough), If Lincecum lowers his ERA, he get in with star power, and if Cain continues like this, he has to get in.

a) If Bengie doesn’t get voted in, it is your fault. Why aren’t you voting now! DO YOU HATE AMERICA YOU TERRORIST. GET OUT THERE AND VOTE. Also if Bengie doesn’t get voted in, they still need 2 more catchers,

b) The only Cardinals who have a chance of getting voted in by the fans are Pujols (duh), Yadier (see part a also he is .361/.400/.285 with 3 HR, not that great), and Ludwick (not blocking any Giant as an OF)

Cardinal pitchers aren’t that great and are not voted in by the fans. The only one I see getting in is Ryan Franklin with a 1.53 ERA and 11 saves
