Marquis de Sad: Giants Lose Game Two

Jason Marquis: Average stuff. Needs to locate well to succeed. Matches up well against teams who are to aggressive.

Part of me wants to write that this is exactly the kind of pitcher who will give the Giants trouble. It's a little too specific of a scouting report, though. This one might be more versatile:

Pitcher: Wears a hat. Throws stitched ball with left or right hand. Stands on pile of dirt.

Whenever the Giants run into one of those, I know they're in for a long day. Good for Pablo for making the game somewhat less humilating. No shutout for you, Marquis.

If TIMMAH wins 20 again this year, and does it “his way” – he’ll take the crown again. Haren is a bad curveball away from the DL, and Santana’s every pitch gets picked apart. If the Mets make the playoffs – yes, he’ll probably win. If the Giants (I know I should hold my tongue) make the playoffs… TIMMAH becomes a legend. (Too soon?)

Is it just me, or does it seem like Randy Winn has been Hoooooorible this year when it comes to situational hitting? I know he got a sac fly last night, and good for him, but he’s failed to produce a lot this year (moving a runner from second to third with no outs, getting a runner home from third with less than two outs, etc.).

I might have named Barry Zito's coming show on Mycheal Urban's show.

I was stranded in my car with the Heir of Mayor asleep after the game (ironic because I was the one drinking heavily because of the game). Anyway, I was listening to the M. Urban show because just because, and they were trying to name the upcoming Barry Zito’s show. Perople called in with the usual stupid stuff (“In the Zone” and “Between the Lines” and crap like that) as well as insulting stuff they’ll never use (“No Speed” etc.).

So I thought of “Side Session” because it combines musical interest (a recording session with side musicians) and starting pitching (between starts they throw a side session). It appears to be the clubhouse leader, pending more suggestions in the next couple of weeks.
