Wow Pablo.
And is it just me? Or did it look like Fred was running fairly slowly on his ground ball and scoring from first?

One of the dumbest moves I have seen this year.
On the run from Johnny Law, aint no trip to Cleveland, or San Francisco.
with our only RBI man coming up, you simply can’t do that
Proud new dad of Edgardo errr Edgar Renteria!!!
That’s the worst part of it. Panda can score from second on singles, too.

Also a minus for rally images when we are pitching.

We cannot be this stupid to give away free outs.
WHO ARE THESE COACHES.? DO THEY EVER TALK TO THEIR PLAYERS?

Baseball 101
Never make the first or last out at third base. Giants don’t bother with teaching that type of namby-pamby stuff, though.
Why couldn't McCovey have hit the ball just three feet higher??
um ...
at least watching that out made me nervous
I actually felt something

pitchers hit .280/.340/.600 against the Giants

Do any of our position players individually have a line like that?

Is that actual stats? I’ve always been interested in this, since it seems that the Giants are always horrible with this.
Hey you can find these stats. Still .195/.215/.273 by pitchers is what I’d call horrible.

I kinda like Uribe as a backup shortstop. I know I’m in the minority but still, solid backup.
On the run from Johnny Law, aint no trip to Cleveland, or San Francisco.
I do, too. He’s a good utility infielder. I don’t mind him being in there due to the injury.
Joe Martinez: My fingers are crossed and my palms are together for you.

He’s a decent backup at second and third, but he doesn’t have the range to be even a backup shortstop
Proud new dad of Edgardo errr Edgar Renteria!!!
Ya I understand that but you almost certainly sacrifice an incredible amount of offense by picking defense over offense in the backup role. There are exceptions but I would rather have a decent offensive player with bad defense than a decent defensive player with bad offense.
On the run from Johnny Law, aint no trip to Cleveland, or San Francisco.
i like him as a backup SS/3b too. In fact, I think the anti-uribe contingent is being pretty idiotic.

Nah, it’s nothing logic-based. He was one of my least favorite Giants before he’d ever played a game. I just hate the style, hate how little confidence in him. He’s like Deivi Cruz w/out the hustle. Also, his OBP is like .300, so what are we defending him for? He does actually suck, too.

They’re really not this good. They have two awesome hitters (Reyes, Beltran), a pair of really good hitters (Wright, Delgado) and some nice parts (Castillo, Sheffield/Murphy). They’re not as balanced and talented offensively as the Phillies or Rays. Maybe even the Dodgers, when Manny is in the lineup.
