Around SBN: NHL Trade Rumors: Do You Make A Move For Rick Nash?

I'm going to be at the Giants game, but this sounds like a fun event.

"Strasburg's numbers are right out of a video game. He's 9-0 with a 1.54 ERA. He leads the nation with 135 strikeouts in 70 1/3 innings with 13 walks. He struck out 23 in a game last season."

Dude's striking our 2 batters an inning!

I considered going to this, but also have tickets to the Giants game. Figured if I’m going to get rained on, I’d rather be 10 minutes from my place in SF than down in Santa Clara.

Should be sweet. And you’ll get to see Tony Gwynn, who wears the largest pair of baseball pants ever constructed.

If it doesn’t get rained out…I would like to go this but I’ve had an incredibly long week and my funds need to be saved for my two games Saturday and Sunday.

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

I was watching my buddy pitch in a high school game yesterday and there were some scouts there from the Twins and the Braves there to check him out sitting by me and they kept going on and on about getting to see Strasburg today. It was funny to listen to how giddy they were to watch him pitch!

I wanted to adopt, but all the good looking babies were taken

Too bad the Twins and Braves have no shot at drafting him.

Aztecs Win 5-0

Would have been fun to see Strasburg:
8 IP
3 H
12 SO
2 BB

I’m guessing last night’s conditions were like SF and he proved he doesn’t need SD’s sunshine to pitch well.
