The only guy on our squad who was projected by PECOTA to have an 800+ OPS, and he rots on the bench. Bizarre.
Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...

Not to mention...
…that his slump and all those strikeouts have dropped his BA all the way down to (shudder) .299.
Still, Lewis does look like he could use a day off.

Last year in 81 PA, Schierholtz had an OPS of 864. Im limited duty this year, he’s at 977. For a team that is supposedly rebuilding, letting vet-adoring Bochy having him rot on the bench is criminal. Get Shierholtz 300 AB’s at least this year. It doesn’t have to be either Winn or Schierholtz. Some days spell Rowand and have Winn shift to center. You might just be able to win and develop at the same time. As things are now, we’ll never know.
I doubt most of them don’t even know what this guy is talking about.

“This will be my biggest challenge,” manager Bruce Bochy said. “We would like to give Nate as good an opportunity as we can as far as playing time, but Randy’s going to be out there for the most part.”
I’m pretty sure you’re failing that challenge Boch.

Someone needs to brief Bochy on the “Goofus Theorem”. Winn can play all three OF positions.

He's already failed by calling it a "challenge"
It’s really more of a no-brainer.

I’m wanting to see Villilona be called up..or Buster, which I say both or at least one will be called up this year being as they are at san jose. Look at the san jose roster, its a who’s who of sf prospects, having so MANY top prospects so close to sf MIGHT hint that the Giants will be calling up the young power hitters sooner than later. Why send them to fresno when its looking like Buster, Angel, Bum and a few others, are major league ready RIGHT NOW. The Fresno roster is simply a list of career major leaguers and a few of our so so relief pitchers who seem to keep spending time between fresno and sf. All the talent is at san jose-close to the majors. I do appreciate winn’s play a lot since we got him, let the guy play out his contract-he’s owed at least that. I’m not bout to make anyone a starter who hasn’t TAKEN the job away by now.

I wonder how many times he's been up with men in scoring position...
what with him either batting leadoff or #3 behind a slumping Winn and a then-slumping Renteria.

8 at bats.
Amazingly, he’s scored 10 times in those 12 plate appearances, despite only collecting 2 hits (plus 4 walks and HBP). Not sure how he scored more runs than H+BB+HBP, probably alot of errors and fielders choices.
