Who's down to watch the MadBum on Tax Day?

Thinking hard about going to Muni to "celebrate" tax day. Maybe watching MadBum and the SanJo Murderer's Row will take our collective mind off how badly our tax dollars are being spent. Who's in?

Woo woo

I’m going to try to make it.

Not yet. I’m to move into student housing at San Jose State in late August. I can count this game as my first observation of the Cal League and call it work. :)

Hopefully the student housing has CSN Bay Area.

I hope so too. For the sake and well being of everyone living in downtown San Jose.

I so want to go

You sure they’re not going to start with a six-man rotation? I might be able to beg my way to a few innings at the very least.

I’ve got tix for the day before. I thought that I’d be slick and pick up Bumgarner: Start Two tix for my Dad’s b-day only to be duped into a Tim Alderson start… oh well, something about beggars and choosers

Tim Alderson

IS AWESOME.

I wish I could join you Delorean

But this back injury of mine means I can’t sit for more than about an hour without the pain getting unbearable.

Sharksrog mentioned the Giants are starting with a six-man rotation

So this means MadBum’s scheduled to pitch on Thursday, according to him. I’m close to being given an evening off from the wife to go watch it. You all still on?

Pretty cheap

The most expensive ticket is 15 bucks or so.

by Natto on Apr 12, 2009 12:21 AM PDT up reply actions

Sooo....

Do we have confirmation yet whether he will be going in wednesday or thursday? Wondering if I should buy tickets now since there was in article in the chronicle giving even more press to what a great team it is in SJ this year

by m34josh on Apr 12, 2009 11:50 PM PDT reply actions

Alderson is definitely pitching Wednesday, according to SJ’s website.

by KCE on Apr 13, 2009 8:10 AM PDT reply actions

The Official Deal

Alderson’s starting, but I’m still going. (I’m not bummed to watch Tim2 pitch, but I did see 2 of his starts last year, and was looking forward to seeing the MadBum.)

MadBum will pitch vs. the Ports in Stockton on Thursday. I might try and get to that game as well, but it’s not looking good atm.

So, quick roll call of who will be coming out on Weds to watch Tim A. dismantle the Bakersfield Blaze? Let me know and I will acquire tickets.

Billy Hayes: His job is better than yours.

by delorean on Apr 13, 2009 9:23 AM PDT reply actions

Argh

I’ve been granted permission by the queen to bring my oldest daughter to the ballpark on Thursday night to watch MadBum. This is a one-time deal only and I fear for my life if I switch to Wednesday. Can’t change this to Thursday? Would love to meet Delorean and the rest of the McCovey gang.

Awesome. I’ve never seen TimA start. I saw him throw a few innings in ST.

Ah screw it. Count me in. If it’s a blow out I may leave after Alderson is out. General Admission or Box? I’m not sure if it’s just me or my dad. If it’s box seats get two, if it’s GA then We’ll buy at the park. What’s the plan to meet?

I’ll leave this window open too while I’m working on my taxes (boy, should have done them earlier), so if you haven’t got them yet yell at me and I’ll give you a quick answer.

I’m bringing my younger brother. He’s never been to a minor league game.

I'm bringing my oldest daughter, who's two months shy of three years old.

She too has never been to a minor league game. : ) She’ll be visible in her bright pink SF Giants cap, for which WalrusMan gave me so much gruff a few years ago.
