Awesome! Average velocity and movement plots are nice. Also the release point is cool, since it can be used to tell if a pitcher may be fatigued. It’s complicated, but I like it. And the return of the strike zone allows me to get mad about borderline calls again.

if they polled the Giants and Dodgers, they would vote not to play on Sunday. Those two teams are the only ones to play a meaningless game. Only Phils and Braves play on Sunday (and that counts).

Garbage

A’s fans are functionally retarded. A big group of them were just standing at the bottom of the Muni escalator. I can’t fathom why they can’t grasp that moving the fuck out of the way so that people can get off the escalator. Then there was the dumbshit A’s fan in front of us at the game who booed every single play where the Giants did something well; hit, walk, or when one of the Giants pitchers struck a batter out.

Luis Perdomo is terrible.

Not garbage: I got a Pablo Sandoval shirt and I managed to snag a foul ball off the bat of Steve Holm. The ball came over to our section and the resulting scrum knocked the ball over to me, so I casually bent over and picked it up. I handed it off to my friend, who bought the seats in the lower box for us, and because she likes Holm.

Joe Martinez was the story of the night. Get him a new number—he’s in and Perdomo’s out.

They say some players get out of bed hitting; Pablo Sandoval doesn't wait that long

Backyard Baseball was awesome. I remember there was a tiny round little Mexican kid who wasn’t one of the major leaguers but could rake with the best of them. That’s basically what I want Pablo Sandoval to be. His name may even have been Pablo now that I think about it.
