Scouting Report on Bumgarner and Alderson
Hope both Bumgarner and Alderson can master the change.

His brother’s 6’10". I wonder if Tim’s completely finished growing or not.

I stood 5 feet away from him in the bullpen. The guy really is a Giant

He is very tall. Everyone’s taller than me, though.
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

I am 6’5" and I don’t like people taller than me b/c they are BIG. Honestly though, I am not used to looking up at anyone, it freaks me out

Um...
Yikes? What in the world does him being 6’7" have to do with how good of a pitcher he is?
I love how you interpreted the word “yikes” to mean: “OMG he’s way too tall to ever be a good pitcher”. My intended connotation was more along the lines of, “that’s surprising”.

Tim, yeah, but not really for Madbum. He gave up some hits that were groundballs that found holes, he was victimized by errors and he still had a 6:1 K/BB ratio for the start.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
PABLO SANDOVAL AM STEAL DEATH, DESTROYER OF WORLDS.
I hope Tim figures out those mechanical problems soon… He should be gaining velocity at his age, not losing it

yeah. the errors caused a lot of extra pitches that shortened his outing.

Maybe he’s just throwing the change-up more.
Randy Winn is going to catch that. And he'll do it real classy-like too.
Good info in there, especially re. Alderson. Two thoughts:
- It’s possible the Giants told him, don’t worry about getting hit, just work on the change-up.
- And the pitch-tipping could come from him tinkering on the mound with his change-up grip. It’s an awkward pitch to grip sight-unseen (ie, with your hand hidden in your glove) if you’re still figuring it out.
