Neal cycles in San Jose rout
The Giants' 37th-round pick in the 2005 First-Year Player Draft began his big performance with a leadoff homer, his fourth of the year, in the second. He walked and scored in the third, ripped his first triple of the season in the fourth, flied out in the sixth and singled in the seventh before coming through with his fifth double to spark a three-run ninth.

not so weird once you consider where it is. All sorts of strange happens there.

Yeah Lancaster is a strange place to play baseball. Often really windy and if I’m not mistaken it’s that ballpark that has massive sun field issues, too.

Lancaster is just a strange place, period. i know some kids down here from lancaster and they all dread going back home; they say it’s either the classiest meth city or the crappiest “up and coming city”… and that was before the mortgage crisis created a 40% foreclosure rate.

yeah its major league weird. And when you further south (past the mountains) into the remains of the rebuilt wasteland that is the inland empire, down on into Corona, the weirdness multiplies, and does backflips all the way down the back entry into SD. Not a place for baseball, or life.

anyone have a scouting report on Neal?
he’s playing pretty well and it seems like he’s still young enough to be a prospect.

He’s younger than me, which in my book, means young enough to be a prospect.
Matt Cain: He'll save children, but not the Dodger children.
