Well damn. :( Now I won’t be able to watch.
First, because I don’t have the MLB Network, and second, because I never have time to watch tv during primetime, whereas I work from home so I was able to watch all the coverage the last two years.
That’s a real bummer. I was looking forward to it. I’m sure I’m in a minority on this, though – this will probably allow a lot more people to watch.

Now that I check, “prime time” means it starts at 6 PM Eastern, which is 3 on the west coast, so I would probably be able to catch it…but I still don’t have the MLB Network.

Is 6PM prime time? I thought the time period between 8 and 10 was.

It’ll be 8 by the time the Yankees and Red Sox get their first picks.

Yea. I think it was nice last year on ESPN or whatever.

For a moment, my hopes perked up, because I remembered that mlb.com had a free stream of the draft last year. But no such luck this year, at least for the round everyone cares about:
After MLB Network broadcasts the live selections of the first round, MLB.com will air a live video stream from Studio 42 for the remainder of the day’s selections starting with the first compensation round, which begins with the 33rd overall pick. “MLB Tonight” will also provide coverage and analysis as the Draft continues to unfold.

We need to send “Thank You” letters to whoever was responsible for MLB Network.

Also
I really hope the MLB draft doesn’t become like the NFL draft. I don’t think it will because the players usually don’t (if ever) have immediate impacts on the team, although Steven Strasburg talk has shown otherwise

I have MLB Network
How many people can I fit into my room, I wonder?

Cool, I’ll finally be able to watch….
Just realized I’m going to be without cable for the next few months. In two weeks I’ll be in between houses for a few months & staying with mom-in-law. No cable. I’ll try to watch this at a bar, but there goes my MLB Extra Innings package. F**k.

Crap it’s over three days now? I don’t know how I’ll get time off from work to cover this.
