Chase , Pt. Deux
Have I maligned this venue in the past? Well , that was a grievous error.
I'm really starting to like it here. Good things are happening!
NOT ONE OF THEM: The Big Ugly Decline of the Big Ugly Unit.
It's sometimes a dicey thing bringing a new relationship to the ballgame...if you're a cynic you're not sure if they're just humoring you. And then there's the fact that I am NOT a docile fan - how will the fact that I am basically yelling in your ear go over?
Allow me to present...a gamer.
Smiled. Laughed. Cheered. Drank a beer (a BIG beer). Had a bite off my dog after I had already bitten into it. Reminded me gently that "Yes , I know who Randy Johnson is. I DID live in Seattle , remember?" Has yet to mention the ringing in her ears.
Oh , yeah...those dogs.
That brat looks cold and lonely , doesn't it?
Don't know 'bout no "Super Hot" status - but they're warm and filling.
Huh? Oh , the game.
Well , you know about the Big Ugly part , let's consider the polar opposite.
Obviously she needs to get Grandpa straightened out on his wardrobe.
Celebrity Sighting:
TRIVIAL FUN FACT:
39 - 18 = 21.
Now turn 21 around and you get...Nate Schierholtz!
NOT SHOWN: This guy hitting...
...although I guess he has his fans.
THESE guys did , however , campaign strongly for themselves.
Schier strength
NOT PICTURED AT 1B: pet vet
Wilson hurls alone.
This is the coolest hat I've ever seen...flashes the S and then the F!
I'm tellin' ya , the Chase crowd is just sad. The INSTANT the piped instructions end they shut right up. And boy , do they bolt early.
This has been (is still being?) the longest weekend of my life , and definitely one of the most enjoyable. We've already taken a series from the Blanks at Chase , and I'm positively tickled at the possibility of actually being here for an entire sweep!

this is fun
Randy Winn is going to catch that. And he'll do it real classy-like too.

You know what this means right? You have to follow the team for the whole season.

Wow, did she know that you’re such a nerd and you’re going to show her off to your nerd friends when you took that picture?

I like the range of emotions of the D-Back fans, from apathetic to miserable.

If she doesn't make you....
…..go to a musical or a ballet or see some crappy 19th century romance movie to offset the Ballgame…..marry her…..

Arizona is one of the few places where if the scoreboard isn’t telling them do anything, they’ll sit and do nothing.
Contraction please.

Another round of great pics. Congrats on the new relationship. She looks like a sweetie. If you get married, is she willing to change her last name to “Frankenstein”?

As I type this the camera battery is recharging.
I may finish the triumvirate , I may not. Pretty upsetting afternoon.
To begin with , my voice went. In the first inning.
Two days of bellowing finally caught up…this hurt the most in the eighth , when you could have heard a pin drop in that place. We had EXCELLENT seats and I could have rattled the Blank relievers mercilessly , or had a blast trying.
Oh God , their fans were pathetic. That “CLAP YOUR HANDS!” light went off and I could hear birds…then , of course , Brian channeled Armando , Medders paid somebody back , and all hell broke loose.
Shake it off , let’s storm Chavez.
Here comes the real test…Winn and Fred better wake the fuck up.

One other cool quirk about Chase...
The park’s organist is in an open area near the right field foul poll. People can go up and watch him play and he signs autographs and stuff. I thought that was pretty neat.
I was tempted to ask him, “What’s better, having roses on your piano or tulips on your organ?”, but figured he’d probably heard that too many times already.

Wieners
What is a San Francisco ‘Super Hot’ Dog, why don’t we have them in San Francisco, and are they really on the menu all year at Chase? Or is this just a marketing gimmick that rotates every series (next up: Chicago ‘North Side Style’ Dogs) to lure visiting-team fans?

What’s Los Dos Granditos and why does it cost $16?
