Long drive off the right field wall. Gonzalez & Headley came around to score close to each other. Gonzalez slid in safe. Headley got tagged trying to jump over Molina. Gonzalez tries to re-tag home plate in case he missed. Bengie tags him first, but the ump calls him safe from the initial slide.

Young will pitch Wednesday’s game that starts at 12:45 p.m. PT, giving Bochy an opportunity to rest regulars following the previous night’s game, as is common practice. Expect Rowand, who’s 0-for-10 off Young, to sit while Eugenio Velez, 5-for-9 (.556) off Young, could start his second game of the season. The first was the April 12 game at San Diego that Young pitched.
