Around SBN: Four TCU Football Players Among 17 Arrested In Drug Ring

Johnny Damon , feeling the financial burden of everyman...

"It's tough. New York can withstand it," he said. "Coming to this plush building, I think it's definitely something that people want to see. I mean, those are great seats. It's going to be tough for a family to afford but, you know, but we'll let the people upstairs worry about that."

Never mind the people below.

While the Blanks may have the lowest ticket prices in MLB it doesn't mean I'll be seeing any games not featuring the Giants - Chase just creeps me out too much for that.

They everyman has a TV

I don’t see the problem here: Let the rich pay the player’s exorbitant salaries while the poor sit at home with a better view of the game and no 7th inning beer cutoff. It’s a mild form of public beneficence.

But they don’t cut off beer sales in the 7th in the expensive seats (at PacT&T anyway).

They say some players get out of bed hitting; Pablo Sandoval doesn't wait that long

I’m here in New York and I have no desire to see these expensive new stadiums. My wife works in a school and every year the Mets give them tickets for one game at the price of 5 bucks a seat. This year they’re doing it at 40!! What a bargain. I won’t set foot in Yankee Stadium, but I’ll go to see the Mets a couple of times in August when the Giants come in. Normally I take a large group with me, ( I have one younger child and two grown up ones with famiies) but no way I’m spending 500 bucks on one ballgame. It will be just me and the little one this time around.

I had a season ticket package to Yankee stadium last year. I don’t think I’ll go to a single game this year . My Yankee fan friends are pissed. Yankee stadium was a good park. It was built on a steep incline, so even the nose bleeds were good seats. Check out the obstructed views in the new park.

Wow that sucks. What sense does it make to build a brand new ballpark with obstructed views? And the had the balls to ask the city for more money for this monstrosity? Fuck that.

Exactly

A new park with this type of view? Ridiculous. And I bet that seat costs at least 40 bucks.

40 bucks x 10

actually, it gets cheaper the more obstructed you get , i.e. closer the restaurant that is the obstruction. The cheapest is 5$, but on this side of the restaurant you can’t see first base, and on the other you can’t see center and right field. On the plus side, I think that’s a Hard Rock Cafe in there, so I’m sure we’ll get some celebrity interviews on Sunday Night Baseball.

If I were a Yankees fan I would have burned jerseys in effigy. How can fans go on supporting a team when the team management treats them like dog shit?

Not only during the recession, but during a severe budget shortfall in NYC.

Worst park I've seen for obstructed views is Wrigley

For example:

What in Wide Wide World of Sports kind of “thinking” is that? Couldn’t they have hired a random crack head to over the design team to prevent that kind of stuff?

That short RF porch in YS is criminal. Especially with the short wall.

At least the wind in AT&T blows in from that direction and the high wall makes it a challenge to knock one out.
