Thank you.
Everyone, I just wanted to drop by and say thank you for all the nice posts and gestures on Halos Heaven concerning the loss of Nick Adenhart. Despite the normal allegiances and the fun we have playing those up at one another's expense, we really are all fellow members in the greater community that is baseball and we all share in this loss. It was a class act to join us in supporting Nick's family and teammates.
Your thoughts and prayers were very welcome, and your actions deserve to be recognized. Well played.
Thanks.
(And I am sure that Philly fans everywhere will get to see for themselves your compassion and class with the loss of Harry Kalas.)

You're welcome. Hey, we're in San Francisco... count on us for a bleeding heart.
(Although maybe, as a nice gesture, you could send us our 2002 World Series trophy?)
Seriously, take care. Time takes care of everything.

I hope everything manages to return to normal down in Anaheim
Losing someone is like getting punched in the heart by your stomach.
Hopefully, we can all get back to baseball soon.
Mayor of 311 said it best: let time heal the wound, even if time is kinda stupid and starts the dressing of the wound by pouring salt into it. Eventually, he’ll get it right.
Aurilia sounds like a planet out of StarFox.
Like I said in the thread on Halos Heaven, Adenhart’s passing was about so much more than baseball. We all lost a good man and a good pitcher. It’s unfortunate that such a tragedy would bring us together, but during times like this we have to come together.
"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.
