I agree. IF they knew that Burriss was going to start earlier in the off season, then they should have not signed him. But with the uncertainty of who was going to play 2B they almost had to sign a true SS with experience just in case.

Velez has the speed to catch that. He initially undercut the route, so that he had to run straight backwards at the end. A more direct route and it’s caught. I mean, he misjudged it and still got his glove on it.
