My wife bought the DVD of The Secret of NIMH for our son this week. The novel it was based on was called Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH, but they changed the character’s name in the movie to Mrs. Brisby due to trademark concerns. So now, watching the movie, I can’t help but think of poor young Grant as a mouse laid up in a cinder block with pneumonia, living in fear of being crushed beneath the wily and evil tractor.

every team needs a solid bench plus Aurilia does bring a lot to a team. Hope Ishikawa and Brooks perform well and are healthy however it is good to know SF has a player who can fill in on off days, DL etc

he brings “a guy who’s OK hitting lefties and at one point in his career could play a number of positions pretty well but now is sorta old and not anywhere near what he used to be” to a team.

Also, when Bochey is the manager, we can never be sure that Aurillia won’t be an every-day guy.

It’ll turn out he’s had some injury this spring or he’ll make a “mechanical adjustment” and then he’ll have like 4 good outings in Fresno, someone in The City (for you wilriv) will get hurt, Sadler will be called up and be horrible, and everyone will be at a loss to explain it.
