Sad news: Brian James has died of a heart attack. He's the guy whose voice we've heard the last few years, doing a brief pre-recorded intro about the Giants' opponent, right before Jon or Flem or Kuip comes on the air. Also the guy who did voiceovers for all the KNBR shows.

"While conservatives tell you 'leave things alone and no one will lose,' and liberals tell you 'interfere a lot and no one will lose,' baseball says 'someone will lose.' Not only says it - but insists upon it! ... Democracy is lovely, but baseball's more mature." BVCE supports SF Dugout and Manny Burriss.

Adoptive Parent of Francisco Peguero. He can throw, he can run, he can hit(fastballs), and he's Dominican. What else do you need to know?

Baseball is a lot like life. The line drives are caught, the squibbles go for base hits. It's an unfair game. -Rod Kanehl
