by wilriv21 on Mar 31, 2009 1:50 PM PDT reply actions

Why? So he could hit .330/.388/.475 there again? Because those are his AAA agregate numbers.

The Basil Fawlty Moderating Strategy:
"We could run a nice blog here if we didn't have all these members getting in the way."

by WalrusMan on Mar 31, 2009 2:00 PM PDT up reply actions

Burriss beat Franny out for 2b. He was going to sit on the bench in The City. The genesis of the problem is Sabean signing Renteria at SS. With the average defender Renteria at SS the Giants needed a plus defender at 2b.

Let Franny go down to Fresno put up your numbers and he becomes a wanted player – either in The City or in a trade.

With all that said I would prefer SS to have a plus defensive SS and then can have Franny be the starter at 2b. If he is going to sit in ML it would be better to play in minors.

I love Opera but I switched to Firefox because I was tired of sites that don’t support it. Firefox works pretty much everywhere.

All of the sites I visit are pretty Opera-friendly. For the odd site that isn’t, I’ll fire up Chrome or Firefox. It isn’t really much of an issue for me.

Wait..

Did I just hear the Texas announcers say “President Bush will come from Washington to throw out the first pitch”?

He was so excited about it, he left 2 months (or 16 years and 2 months) ago to get there early.

other then “will come from Washington” it would correct. Former Presidents are always addressed that way. So people will still say “President Carter”.

Rangers announcers “It was a little too much Giants’ pitching today”

Never mind the 10 runs the Giants hung up on them.

I was really commenting on the mentality of the Ranger announcers. that wasn’t clear enough.

Dave Del Grande was on KNBR this afternoon. He seems to hate both Bay Area teams. Says that if Zito were back in Oakland, he would be there number one starter.

Oh yeah, good ol’ Del Grande. How I hate him.
