Tim Lincecum missed his last start because of bronchitis. After throwing two fastballs at bronchitis's head, Lincecum was able to strike bronchitis out with three consecutive changeups. We welcome Lincecum's return.

Bronchitis can be a nasty thing. I hope he doesn’t have the strain that was running around here. You feel better for a day or two, you go back to your “normal” life …and POW! you’re sick again.

Last year I had a cold that lasted three weeks…and then it turned into bronchitis. I couldn’t eat for four days. I couldn’t sleep more than a few hours at a time with the pain in my chest from coughing and the sore throat pain. It was hell. So I feel for Tim.

Let’s see, walks with no average or power, and poorly utilized speed in a 6’6" frame. That really is a weird skill set. He has super-old man batting skills, but obviously he was crazy athletic. No clue.

Love about the game

One thing I really love about the game is when new kids arrive on the scene. Guys like Lincecum, Longoria, Upton, Price etc.

Have you noticed any new kids this spring? I really like Travis Snider of Toronto and of course our own Brooks Sandoval. Who else?

Remember when we were talking about players we assume are white/black/whatever race based on their names? I totally didn’t know that Brent Brewer is a black guy. He pinch ran in the game yesterday. Saying that probably makes me sound like a racist git.

It was! Very exciting.

Other people who have made my high school proud:
- A guy from my graduating class (who I knew pretty well, actually) made the front page of the Chronicle by kidnapping a 16-year old girl (he was 20) who he’d been stalking
- The Fajitagate guy
- A spokesperson for the McCain campaign who was charged with preparing Sarah Palin for her interviews – good job!
- Ken Dorsey

Cannot believe with the sightings of Bumgarner, Alderson and even SImmons, Culberson, Pill, Noonan etc that the Giants brass has not even thought of an EME sighting.
