I found the next entry more interesting
There’s an interesting story here. For years, the Giants were under the assumption that once they optioned a player to the minors during spring training they could not use him in a major-league exhibition game.
It turns out they can. The only risk is, if the player gets injured he has to be paid his major-league salary, $400,000 and change, or about twice as much as his minor-league pay.
What ever happened to due diligence, or is that just for signing and trades that will never happen?

They’re still kicking the tires on ‘due diligence’.
Don't think, it could only hurt the ballclub.

Lincecum is bigger than Jesus
Baseball is a lot like life. The line drives are caught, the squibbles go for base hits. It's an unfair game. -Rod Kanehl

Is that a Chris Haft Lincecum is literally bigger than Jesus or are you saying Lincecum has more devoted followers than Jesus?

Some would say Jesus has more veteran savvy, but that’s just deity bias.
