i heard it on the wbc broadcast of the game between the netherlands and puerto rico..
guy said something like "the giants have interest in pudge now, as a catcher and at third base" he then went on to add later that pudge had been taking grounders at third.

Eric Young on ESPN’s Baseball Tonight said the Giants would be a good fit for Pudge as a backup for Molina. He would be a better choice for one year over Steve Holm, while he improved from April to September 2008 is still pretty much mediocre.
