In recent years, Pablo Sandoval, Bocock, Osiris Matos, Romo have made that big leap, from San Jose one year to the big leagues the next. And Robby Thompson did it once, then went on to have a useful career here. We'll exclude September callups for this poll, where we ask which of these players will take that Giant step from low minors to the bigs in 1 year? If I was craftier with interwebs, I would find a way to include your nominees for random/unexpected leapers. I am EXcluding Buster Posey because he would just get most of the votes and the poll would not be interesting. And pitchers because most of last years SJ Giants could make the jump.
Boyer--slugged 511 at SJ. Downs--slugged 494 at SJ, can play short. McBryde--awesome D, 368 OBP at SJ. Neal--slugged 444 at Augusta while coming back from injury. Schoop--awesome shortstop. Angel--slugged 435 at Augusta, got better each month. Williams--awesome defensive catcher.
