Why trade for Howard when you can sign Adam Dunn

They’re pretty damn similar, right down to the atrocious defense.

Yeah, how do you get 19 errors playing 1B?

Wow, that's a terrible deal.

Wasn’t Howard’s wishing price in arbitration $18MM? Why would the Phillies just up and triple that?

even if he loss arb this year he would get 14 this year 18 next and18-20 the year after that. Overall cost is similar plus it gives them stability. I agree it is to much, but it makes sense for them.

I am on a vendetta to make sports enjoyable to watch again, and Mr. Buck you are at the top of my LIST!!! Mr. Selig don’t get to upset you are number TWO!!!

I’d rather have TI/Josh Phelps at 1B than Ryan Howard

I only have a signature because I recognize everyone else by their sigs, not their usernames..

Umm…?

I wouldn’t. At the prices I think I would, but in a vacuum Howard all the way.

I'd take howard at that price

Expensive and overrated is still better than cheap and bad.

As long as the overrated still means good, which he is.
