FanFest 2009
So,
anyone been to one of these before? I have to be up in the city on Saturday anyway, and wanted to drop by for a couple of hours if its fun/entertaining, and because damnit, I need baseball to be back already. People planning to go from here? Figure if we get a large enough flock of McCoven, can grab a beer or something before (9AM beer - always a good start) or after. I'm looking forward to deluding myself on how this will be our year.

I'll be there
Probably not for an early beer, but if you see me I’ll discuss our shared delusions. I’ll be the guy in the Giants hat and jersey. That one guy.
STEVE HOLM! refuses to be the odd man out.
I’ll be making the trip from Sacramento, taking BART from Pittsburg. I’m going to try to get to SF an hour or so early. So if there is a meet up area I’d head there before the ballpark. We plan to just hang around SF for while afterwards also, so a meet up post FanFest would be cool too.
I’m also coming in from Pittsburg BART. A meet up would be cool.
I’m torn between wearing my Tim shirt, my Fred shirt, or the classic McCoven shirt. I also have an awesome orange hoodie I got last year that looks smashing with my black yoga pants.
The fashion choices will keep me up at night.

OT: I got around to reading Take Me Out at your recommendation.
I really enjoyed it. I didn’t really know what to expect, but I really didn’t expect the play to go the way it did in the second half. Thanks!
Yay
I’m glad you liked it. Mason cracks my shit up endlessly.

Mason and Kippy are great. It would be nice to see it live, with a good cast it would be a fun show.
I saw a production of the play at the ACT in San Francisco. The actor who played Muggit was outstanding. The whole cast was great but the three roles that stood out to me were Muggit, Kippy, and Mason, and all three actors really nailed the performances.
Plus the actor who played Darren Lemming was HOT. It was very nice to see him naked.

Well my sister’s idea of a good time is to be in line for tickets at 9am. My idea is find a cafe that’s wifi’d and get tickets that way and relax. Since she’s eldest I lost that debate before a word was uttered.
She’s been to many of the fanfests, this will be my first.
I’ve always said your first time should be with your sister…especially if she’s experienced.

Ew. That’s just not right!

Planning To Go
But my wife is getting her finger operated on tomorrow, so if she’s not up to going out on Saturday I’ll be cancelling.
No, really, I have updated my blog this year: http://skaldheim.livejournal.com/tag/baseball
Put a cast on her middle finger and get over there.
…and make sure she waves heartily at Zito…
