Poor kid. I hope he can rebound from this.

Hope you enjoyed your ML career Lowry.
I dunno, I don’t see how he’s getting back.

Doesn’t sound too serious… yet.

Soo… I hope to the baseball gods that El Guapo takes it slow in the WBC. Not that I thought that Lowry would have started over Sanchez, but this will potentially leave one less option.

Wil, do you have any pull with the PR coach? If so, tell them to do the right thing with Sanchez.

Team PR should make it out of the first round but probably not the second round. Sanchez should be back by mid March. Jose Oquendo is the manager and the pitchers are on strict pitch count limits.

It’s not surprising that a guy who’s had forearm and shoulder problems now has an injury in between them. Best case scenario is that it’s just rust since he wasn’t allowed to throw a baseball for a very long time. Rust meaning some loss of flexibility in the elbow tendons, rather than anything more dire.
Fred Lewis can stand under my umbrella.

I’m still not expecting him to pitch a Major League game again. I’d love to be wrong, but I don’t think I am.

The Noah Lowry Story makes me sad
Baseball is a lot like life. The line drives are caught, the squibbles go for base hits. It's an unfair game. -Rod Kanehl

It shouldn’t make you too sad, he’s earning $4.5M this sesaon.

Not sad as in, “what is he going to do with his life?” It’s more like “hmm, this sucks. I kinda liked that guy.”

My wife says, "Give him some steroids"...

As if there was no reason that the muscle in his hand managed to grow at a rate that its own muscle sheath couldn’t contain it.
(totally not serious… I mean, who would inject steroids into their hand? Now, if Lowry’s muscle problem had been in his butt…)

I hear from reliable sources, however, that there is no problem in Lowry’s butt.

PITCHING DEPTH!!
So, what are the odds we’ll see Bumgarner play for the big club by the end of the year?

What a bummer for Noah. Wonder what his state of mind is at this point. Sure, he’s financially set regardless, but it can’t be fun to get shortchanged on having a playing career.
My plans for 2009: getting married and attending Tim Lincecum Bobblehead Day.
