The Grudge

I would like your help to compile a list of the grudges that our favorite GM has held or continues to hold.

Please add a player (or anything else for that matter; maybe he really doesn't like Rush for no good reason) in the comments below and then reply to said comment with the reason(s) that Sabean holds/held a grudge.  Links and/or pictures would be beneficial - LOLCats are also acceptable.  This should be a time-capsule depicting the mind of a child and I suspect there will be some discussion of pie as well.

I will start...

Jose Cruz, Jr.

Signed for one year, he provided 3.6 wins. A gold-glover, he dropped a key flyball in a playoff game and was never seen again.

I believe that this is a theme. Giants players not performing in playoff/key situations has gotten them banished, but I can’t think of the other situations. Any help?

Yeah, I really liked Cruz Jr. and I still lament the fact that he dropped ONE flyball in the playoffs (and he had more than a small part in getting us there) and apparently that means he sucks.

Cody Ransom (booted a routine grounder ahead of the Finley GS I believe, in elimination game of the 2004 season) and Dustin Hermanson, who dished up said grand slam.

benito santiago and possibly bengie molina

Benito wanted to resign a 2 year deal for a tad too much money, but the giants dumped him in a N.Y. min. and sent over 3 pitchers including Nathan, for A.J. doubleplay Pierzinski, who could only bash balls attached to a giants trainer. Did he creep out as a giants player or what. We could have had Benito. Not sure why we did not go to arbitration with Bengie. One year wudda been just right as long as he did not hit in the middle of the order. and as part of his contract, he had to pay a fine each time he swung at a ball in the dirt.

It seems to me that Sabean really appreciated Bengie’s contributions to the team, and didn’t offer arbitration because he felt it would be disrespectful. Both in terms of the expectation of Bengie relinquishing his job to Posey and in terms of only wanting to give him a one year deal, because Sabes thinks he should get more. That’s not a grudge, as far as I can tell.

I'm thinking but nothing's happening.
