This

just adds to my anger that Sabean/BowTie brought Bochy back. Crap!

Bochy...

I had to laugh at your witty cynicism, but seriously I think anything these guys (Bochy/Sabean) say should be taken with the grain of salt. They must feel they have to say something to the media. I do wish they would censor some of their comments before airing them. For instance that Posey will start at Fresno. Personally, and I could be wrong, but I think they should have groomed him for a different position because I think he’s a better hitter than he is a catcher

With that said, it gets a little tiring to read the rants on these two guys without a suggestion in how to improve the ball club, because they’re going to be with us for the next two years… live with it:( I know, I know don’t read the blogs then. I do like reading them even though sometimes one has to scroll down quite a ways to get some good insights… and there are folks on this blog that have some good ones.

I did read that Rosenthal mentions the Giants are inundated with a multitude of options, including this latest one; Hudson for second base with Sanchez going to third.

Do you think that’s a good option?

Velez and renteria in the first two spots? At least we have Batting Title Sanchez hitting third. Woohoo!

Who cares.

This is clearly asking him what he’d do given the current roster, and the Giants don’t currently have a #3 hitter, so he naturally moved Sanchez down and sick one of the thousand schlubs to the two hole. Pretty much every manager in the majors would do the same.

Yup. No need to panic. That time will come a little later.

Pablo Sandoval will lead off the second inning 162 times next year.

No Edgar, it's not your fault, it's the fault of the idiot that plays you

That would be funny if it weren’t true.

Sanchez isn’t that bad. Nor is Nick Johnson, or Orlando Hudson, or whoever else they sign. Personally, I’d love a Hudson signing but I’m sure I’m in the minority in that one.

Not great, and I should have clarified I mean at the right price. If Hudson or Johnson gets $10mil a year, then of course you let them walk.

Honestly the problem with the Giants started along time ago. In fact it started when the corporate heads left Seal Stadium and went to Candlestick Park under very dubious circumstances. The “Point” was the worse place in San Francisco to put a ball park and they’ve been playing catch up ever since. They had a chance to right the ship when they moved into their current location. However their excuse was always they couldn’t afford to pay higher salaries because they had the mortgage. Meanwhile they were bringing in over 3 million fans a year. That excuse will fly for a few years, but I don’t think it flies forever. They are going to have to increase the budget to at least a 100 million this year or in the very near future.

Here’s an example most fans are familiar with; a few years ago they signed Tucker and gave up a draft pick… which was beyond me, and it left the avid fan lacking any confidence the FO knew what they were doing. Okay, NOW, they’re rated as having the third best minor league system, but the bitter taste of the FO ineptitude is still in people’s crawl.

I am sure there are solid baseball people somewhere in America who could do a better job, but the constant haranguing of the people we have in the front office now, apparently thinking if one does it enough they’ll replace them, is immature, naive and kind of insane… doing something over and over again expecting different results. But more importantly you may have some good ideas, and I’ve read them, but with your constant negativity, you’re losing your credibility. Let’s find a compromise. If you’re going to go negative on FO follow it up with a suggestion. People may criticize you for it, but you’ll get the rest of us thinking.

I know I'm repeating myself

but really, who believes this shit? It’s not like Bochy had a lineup written in stone last year, plus he’s got airtime to fill & can only comment on the current roster. He can’t say “hey, I’d love to have Holliday hitting fourth, and I expect him to be signed tomorrow”. Come on.
