Report: Giants looking at Uggla, Beltre, Johnson
Foxsports.com's Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi are reporting the Giants are focusing on three players in an effort to find a big bat in the middle of their lineup:
Dan Uggla, Florida's power-hitting second baseman who is under contract for 2010; Free-agent third baseman Adrian Beltre, formerly of the Seattle Mariners; and free-agent first baseman Nick Johnson, most recently of the Florida Marlins.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Nobody puts Bengie in a corner!
So they've focuses in on three guys, but they can only actually get one of them because they're all infielder.
That doesn’t seem like it’s doing enough to improve the offense.

As a person that does community and blog outreach for brands for a living it makes me sad when it is done improperly.
Adopted brother of Jason Jarvis. To pass the time during the offseason I decided to try my hand at blogging about photography and music.
If this is true
this makes me happy

Would we be able to get both Uggla and Beltre?
One of the few to have appreciated Cap'n Jax. Do well in NC, get that 8th seed!

Where would they play?
Pablo moves to 1b and then you’ve got three players for two spots at 2b and 3b (when you factor in Sanchez)

If one were going to trade for Dan Uggla, why would he first sign Freddy Sanchez?
On the other hand, if the Giants were to sign both Adrian Beltre and Nick Johnson, Nick’s high OBP could take some of the sting out of Adrian’s high number of outs.
And Nick, Adrian and Freddy could battle Edgar Renteria for most games missed due to injury.
Somewhere in all this the Giants get better — right?
because Freddy Sanchez is our new 3b
