This is a nice hike, I think we did it in winter or around then.

Start here and you head up the North/left side of the river. Make it eventually to a 30-40 foot cascade which is pretty nice.
The only other suggestion I have for you is going up the Yosemite Falls trail to Columbia Rock and then around to see the frozen falls. The trail is generally clear until you get to see the falls.
Depending on how much snow is up there (I’m not sure, when I went it was pretty clear after the first big storm of the season), you could head up the Mist/John Muir Trail to the falls and Little Yosemite Valley.

"We could run a nice blog here if we didn't have all these members getting in the way."
Kevin Frandsen, come back!
Cool we’ve not done that one, I’ll dig out the topo later and have a look see!
I think it’s all going to come down to how much snow and ice is on the ground.
The last time we did the Mist Trail in December the mist had fallen on the rocks and frozen itself into a nice slippery mess. We got to the falls but we had to go really slowly!
We might try the Falls trail again. The last time we tried it (a few Aprils ago) the weather was a nasty rain/snow/sleety mixture that brought visibility down to just about nothing!
