Worth noting: Andy Skeels has been a minor league manager for 2 years, and he’s won two league championships and both times piloted the winningest team in the entire minor leagues.
My Bucardo is better than yours.
A hot August weekday, before a small crowd, when the only thing at stake is the tissue-thin difference between a thing done well and a thing done ill. Insofar as the clutch hitter is not a sportswriter's myth, it is a vulgarity, like a writer who writes only for money.
Worth noting
It seems like the Giants like to artificially increase their minor league teams’ records by assigning player to leagues they’re old for and not promoting top performers in-season (particularly hitters in high-A).

True, but that hasn’t been true of either of Skeels two teams. Ford’s the only one you could say that about and slow development was a legitimate reason for his being in A ball again. The ’08 Augusta team was actually very young. Even though the Sally was a young league in ’08 the Augusta team was a very young starting lineup with teenagers at 1B, 2B, SS, and a 20 year old Thomas Neal leading the offense and 18 year old MadBum leading the staff.

if anything, one could argue that the SJ Giants were hurt by some overly aggressive promotions, Bumgarner and especially Brandon Crawford. The only guy assigned to the team that shouldn’t have been was Alderson and he only made 5 starts for San Jose. I know a lot of people around here thought Neal should have been promoted during the season, but plenty of people disagreed with that.

Would you consider him or Decker
a better managerial prospect?
Hoping for BowkerMania to hit AT&T Park in 2010
No clue about Decker
But Skeels put together some downright silly lineups this past season.
Juan Carlos Perez, please start hitting.
They're both considered good managerial prospects
Decker is at Fresno and Skeels is at Richmond. I’ll assume they’re both better than bochy.

Bocock at leadoff!
I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Not true this year. San Jose started with a lot of good, very young, players. Then they promoted Bumgarner as soon as the weather got warm in CT. They moved Posey up half way through the season. They also lost Villalona to injury. I think they had Runzler for little while and promoted him quickly.
Yeah their line up was sick
IIRC Opening day line up
C-Posey
1B-Villalona
2B-Noonan
SS-Crawford
3B-Gillaspie
LF-Neal
CF-Ford
RF-Kieschnick
SP’s
1-Bumgarner
2-Alderson
3-Barnes

They won a blue ribbon, which I have awarded them.
Utter frustration and futility.
