I’m still not sure if he’s gonna make that catch.
Utter frustration and futility.

I had this exact video saved on my computer after the no-no
And I recommend that everyone do it (I used DownloadHelper on Firefox). I uploaded it briefly to YouTube (since it’s such great quality) that night, but apparently MLB does not like it if you post up their videos on YouTube.
"I never watched baseball on TV. It's slow and boring. I'm not a fan. Never was." - Jeff Kent
Yeah it’s interesting how different sports treat their video footage. The Raiders pigeon video is still up on youtube. And the NHL seems to allow their video to remain on line.
It seems silly not to allow the video, but a lot of things MLB does seems silly to me.
"It appears that Sabean is playing a game of chicken with Neukom wherein he elucidates the most outrageous things he could do as ML GM without getting fired." - cornball
There was also a time I was able to see the condensed game, with all outs, but also all giants at bats. Nice for the archive :)

Is this Midnight Replay?
OK, can you replay the entire 80s?
I seem to have forgotten most of them…

That game is the only thing I’ve ever bought on iTunes.
I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

This game is probably my favorite from the entire season.

Hey guys, let’s trade Sanchez for an overrated hitter!!!!

Adopted Giant: the probably soon to be ditched but still awesome Fred Lewis
Baseball's Best
If you search “Baseball’s Best” at the iTunes store there are some great (and not so great) Giants games available to download for $1.99. On Sunday I downloaded and watched game 1 of the 1989 NLCS.

Also from this game
Pablo smashes a very Bondsian homerun to RF near the cable car. My favorite of the season.
Just the fact that Jonathan’s dad sees him pitch in the majors for the first time makes this moment even more memorable. It’s very father-son cliché. But damn it, it’s awesome to see.

Pablo does hit the occasional monster homer
He hit a ridiculous homer in San Diego towards the end of last season.

note: it wasn’t on a fastball, but a 73 mph offspeed pitch.

It’s cool by the way how links to Giants’ clips currently show Bonds’ #71, #73, #660, and #756 in the “Related Videos” section on the bottom, probably in light of his agent’s recent remarks. #71 especially — what a swing.

Was that a Bowker sighting in LF? Considering how many put outs he had in a no hitter, I’m shocked he didn’t take over all the starts for the rest of the season.
"…this thing which tells time."
He would have but
he short armed a throw back to the infield. Bochy doesn’t like that.
Adopted brother of Jason Jarvis. To pass the time during the offseason I decided to try my hand at blogging about photography and music.
I hate to say this but if Fred Lewis had been in LF that night at least one of those balls may have been dropped. (Don’t hate, jponry!)
"Those that drink the Kool-Aid, please leave the room."
Hater.
You know it would have bounced out of his glove and into Rowand’s glove every time.

It was my birthday too, and you should have been watching the Giants game in honor of it.

OT
Timmy’s arraignment hearing has been rescheduled
If you can get 3:2 on a headline of "Giants Pitcher Assaults General Manager" at some point this year, take it.
Timmy: You want a Choco Taco? I’ve laced it with weed for quality enjoyment before every game. Fuck! Yes!
Judge: Thanks for the offer, but….wait, what? I’m going to have to give you another…
Timmy: No, really, I insist. I’ll even give you an autograph and the game ball of the next game I win. Of course, that could mean a few starts since Rowand can’t hit a changeup, but…
Judge: Really? Oh thank you Tim! My son’s a huge fan of you, he’d love it! I’ll dismiss the case against you.

We’re gonna get hi, hi, hi, with the music get my changeup on.

I cant remember if i was commenting during the game, or once it ended in the PGT. I do remember I finally signed up for an account a few days earlier thinking: ‘hmm i should check out what these comments are all about’. I had been a regular reader of Grant’s for a few years. I’m glad I thought to sign up early, else I wouldn’t have been able to comment that night.
