That Which Shall Not Be Mentioned...

Soooooo.... tomorrow night at 5:30 SF time the MLB network is replaying Game 6 of you know what. On several different occasions people have mentioned doing a "game day thread" for this game complete with angst, sarchasm, and bitching to try and get it out of our systems. Anyone uh...game?

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

I really don’t know why you would ever post this

Rafael Rodriguez: #8 on our list, tearing up Scottsdale, and has been alive long enough to see the Warriors make the playoffs once.

Why don’t we just stop talking about it?

how about you start a gameday thread for game six, replete with enthusiasm and ws ring ecstasy for the first 7 innings or so. Then, everyone turns off the game around the eighth inning and collectively rewrites history?

It’ll be creative, it’ll be beautiful…sobs

Honestly I dont know why people can’t get over this. The way I see it 2003 was much worse. Or 2000. Or 98. Or 97. Or 93. Or 89. Or 87.

My God the Giants are cursed. :(

I think one reason why 2002 doesn’t hurt as bad for me is that I can give credit to the Angels for coming out of the hole and beating us. All these other years were pure heartbreak because we beat ourselves with horrible mistakes or flukes or whatever else. 2003 we don’t even need to discuss Pudge (FUCKING DIE) or Jose Cruz Jr. 2000…J.T. hits that dramatic HR and Felix blows the lead, and wasn’t it Edgardo who beat him? No wonder Sabes signed him. 2000 was just fucking awful. Bobby Jones?! Really? Bobby fucking Jones. Then of course Neifi’s miracle HR on Nen’s fastball right down the middle when Coors was a joke. Cubs and Beck and sigh :(. 97, Wilson Alvarez FAIL, we got beat by a pitcher who’s career literally ended in the same postseason for Florida. 89…earthquake. We were the only NL underdog team that couldn’t score on the A’s pitching staff. Nor could our pitching shut them down. Though to be fair both Cincy and LA probably had way better pitching than we did in 90 and 88. And 87 was just cruel. Poor Dravecky. :( Though I doubt we could have beat Minnesota when they were so ridiculously good at home. And oh of course ’62 was awful luck too. Meh.

How about 2009?

Worst offense in the world, no attempt to get hitterzz until July, and still almost in the playoffs.

I remember many times last winter thinking, wow, with no cleanup hitter for another season this team is going nowhere. Which made all the “We’re In This Thing” a little bilious. We’d really be in this thing, if we had someone older than 22 who could hit the ball.

Thank god that can’t happen again this year.

It’s something that was supposed to be funny but has gotten really irritating. I know I’m not the only one that feels this way.

"meh"
