Geez, that’s one passive aggressive anti-hotlinking image.

Yep

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

And as to the topic...

… heh heh heh. DESTROY THEM!

(although it is considered a good sign if you’re being litigated against by San Francisco. Usually means you’ll not only get off scott-free but get paid for your trouble.)

here's an early draft of the letter

Dear Bud:

Blah blah blah parking lot lease blah blah 1995 blah blah gimme mah money.

Signed,

some guy in a town other than the one losing the team or the one getting the team

Good luck Dennis! But at least they’re doing what they can to “help” the Giants.

You know what, though? This is exactly the kind of thing I feel like Bud cares about. For a man with a great talent to look like a doofus, his most rash actions seem to always be a sudden declaration to appease the masses/not look like an idiot. Hence, the “THIS TIME IT COUNTS!” nonsense at the All Star Game, baseball’s reaction to the steroid era, etc.

Selig is not a guy who will act because it’s the smart thing to do… but he will act because he thinks he’d be made to look bad otherwise. Maybe if the Giants and SF put enough public pressure on him they can convince him that maybe the A’s really would be better off in Fremont (or better yet, Sacramento).

Keep them the hell away from my commute! It’s bad enough already.

They should just share Raley Field with their AAA club in Sacramento.

I live in San Jose. Dont want them.

I know that alot of the people down here who go to AT&T who only kind of care about baseball would never go anymore if they had a team in their own downtown.

We would absolutely lose alot of SJ ticket buyers, who arnt real fans of the Giants, but more so just want to watch a game.

And there is no way fans in oakland are just going to switch to Giants fans now that their team is gone, or because SF is closer. The Giants would lose on both of those fronts.

Its funny because fuck the dodgers

I hear that New Haven has a newish stadium. Or as others suggested we can trade Fresno with them.
