Not exactly news, but still. What a raw deal.

It feels like it was only a while ago since his last at-bat.
It looked good off the bat but it was just a fly ball. I really really really wish that had been a homerun now. Would have been so legendary.
So when can we expect the plaque, the retired number, and the statue?
Status: Feels so broke up. Wants to go home. || Still boycotting Johnsonville and Giants souvenirs or ballpark foods for repossessing my K Wall in right field.
GiantBrass statue...
…green it!

Typically infuriating take on Bonds and his legacy. The whole “he’s not worthy to carry Aaron’s jockstrap” makes me want to vomit. Aaron is/was just as much a jerk, and he played in the Amphetamines Era….
I’m glad Bonds is off the Giants, but his place in history should be unquestioned.
Officially disinterested in any high school outfielders from the state of Mississippi.
Proud adoptive parent of Sergio Romo.
I don’t think that Aaron was anywhere near the ass that Barry was/is. Barry is the better player, however. Most of Aaron’s legacy is based on his longevity, while Bonds’ is based upon being the best hitter of the last 50 years.
I don’t mean to minimize any of the crap Bonds’ has had to endure, but I don’t think any of us can imagine what it was like for Aaron to trot out on the field every day with legitimate death threats because he was black, and going to break the record of the greatest (white) baseball player ever.
