Don't want him, but I would rather see him than Torres/Velez any day of the week.

I honestly would rather see a Velez/Torres platoon than Jermaine Dye.

+1

This is perhaps the most depressing one of those that I will ever award.

Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...

TR Sullivan looks like

a Toby Flenderson/Creed Bratton love child.

And this rumor looks like a

Susan Boyle/Tiny Tim lovechild. Yes I meant his corpse.

"My friend once told me a story about San Francisco Giants pitcher Tim Lincecum. He said his cousin went out to a bar in San Francisco and saw Lincecum there. He went up to him to give him a handshake.

Lincecum refused. He didn’t want to give him a handshake. He wanted to give him a chest bump."

No Tiny Tim in it though.

Dyes ability or inability to play 1b

Is really the deciding factor for me. He’s a liability in the of, but he could be an asset if it turns out he can actually play 1b. That said, there are better options at both positions.

Desirous of Matt Holliday and Dan Uggla since 2009.

dude had a 103 OPS+ last year, he wouldn’t be an asset at first either

Given his inexperience, I think the best we could hope for from Dye is a Garko-level performance, and I think we already have a guy who can do that.

Merkin Valdez? Manuel Mateo? A rose by any other name...

I think expecting a Ryan Garko type performance from Ishikawa might be a little unrealistic.

Adopted brother of Jason Jarvis. To pass the time during the offseason I decided to try my hand at blogging about photography and music.

But I’m pretty sure we could get a Garko-level performance from John Bowker.

Officially disinterested in any high school outfielders from the state of Mississippi.

I need to get this out of my system so that I never have to say it again:

Man, this rumor just refuses to Dye.

I don't know about that, to the groin.

They’ll have to pry this rumor from my cold, dyed hands.

I think Howie is being a little too critical

This player is definitely jermaine to the discussion.

Utter frustration and futility.
