Around SBN: Carmelo Anthony, Amar'e Stoudemire Vow To Fit In With Lin

Pujols wins a unanimous MVP, unsurprisingly. Unexpectedly, Sandoval finishes 7th, Timmy 12th, and Affeldt (!?!) tied for 20th

Hanley did a lot better than I thought he would. Cool. Utley remains one of the most underrated players in the game.

I mean, I like Pablo too, but really? REALLY?

And I hope Charlie Manuel is being yelled at somewhere, “HE WAS SEVENTH IN THE MVP VOTING YOU TOOLBAG!”

In his defense

A toolbag is far more valuable than a douchebag.

Way to go Affeldt!

So all 3 of them get that little blue notification next to their stat line at bb-ref, right?

Pujols is the first unanimous MVP since 2002’s NL MVP.

That guy was alright.

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Wait.

How the hell did Barry Bonds not win the MVP unanimously in 2004?

HE WAS ON BASE 3/5 OF THE TIME. HE HIT 45 HOMERUNS. HE OPSED 1.422.

Also in 2001.

I realize Sammy Sosa hit 64 homeruns that year as well (lol 90s-early 2000s) but really?

Really?

2 first place votes. Can we assume both were from the Windy City?

Actually the 6 votes that Beltre got was probably because of dingerz.

Or about having one the very very best seasons in the history of 3B.

Bonds was clearly better, but Beltre had an unbelievable year. Better than anything anyone has done in the past 5 years. Better than any year Albert Pujols has ever had.
