Path of the Pros: Aaron Rowand (sfgiants.com)
This is nice, warm and fuzzy story of the gamer's ascent to the show. His mother even cries tears of joy in this heartened tale.
And at the bottom of the page, where the writer completes her 700 word obligation: the outpouring of vitriol!!!
(on mlb.com no less)
LOL... I think the only non-"Fuck You Rowand" comment was about the Giants new pitching coach.

I forget the word
I learned in HS journalism for a story that’s written and then dumped in a folder to be run when news is slow. More specific than filler… maybe Baron will happen by.
That’s what this story is, complete with Rowand in WS uniform and last sentence tacked on to “update” it.

It’s called an “evergreen.” Specifically, this kind of evergreen would be called a peronsality profile, or as groug put it in a pervious comment, puff piece.
that's the ticket
