Hope Dallas McPherson enjoyed the Giants medical benefits

Hey check out all our old friends on this list: Jon Coutlangus, Lance Niekro, Alfredo Simon, Dave McKae, Travis Denker!, Angel Chavez, Justin Knoedler, Scott Munter, Damian Moss, Dan Ortmeier, Nate Bump, Jason Waddell, Clay Hensley, Billy Sadler, Eric Threets, Brian Buscher, Cody Ransom, Jerome Williams, Mike Cervenak, Jason Ellison, Adam Pettyjohn, Yamid Haad, Randy Messenger, Joe Bateman.

We could totally have a crappy old Giants reunion camp!

My Bucardo is better than yours.

A hot August weekday, before a small crowd, when the only thing at stake is the tissue-thin difference between a thing done well and a thing done ill. Insofar as the clutch hitter is not a sportswriter's myth, it is a vulgarity, like a writer who writes only for money.

I was legitimately upset when about six of those guys left the Giants.

Let’s play the guessing game!

I’m saying: Denker, Countlangus, Williams, Ellison, Knoedler, and …. Buscher!

I think you’re right, xanthan; although I might have gone with Simon over Ellison. So, Grant – ’fess up. Who was it?

Officially disinterested in any outfielders from the state of Mississippi.

Don't feel bad

About 6 of them are legitimately better than the worst hitters in our lineup.

Jerome Williams was on the A's?

My son is Madison Bumgarner, the Spacebat of pitching prospects. My other son is a Porsche.

So the ones I'd be sad to see go:

Acosta, Matos, Ray, Webb (toe the rubber!), Whitaker, and, yes, McPherson.

The ones I’m happy to see go: Kinney (aka Zombie Jeff Urban), Pichardo (wait, the Mike Tucker trade was for NOUGHT?!?!), Borchard, and Melian (because lord knows how screwed we’d be if we didn’t have four-deep depth charts for the Fresno outfield)

The ones I didn’t know were in the organization still: Jennings, McMains (career Scottsdale OPS of a blanillion), and Wald.

Maybe I’ll comb everyone else’s FAs and put together the Dumpster List for ‘09. Probably won’t, though.

NOUGHT?!?!

Not. Naught.

Also: knot, Nott… I’m out of valid alternate spellings.

You wish you were named Frederick Deshaun...

Here I thought San Francisco was an enlightened city.

But no, apparently it’s just full of homophones.

McMains

I was under the impression he had retired. He’s spent the last 2 seasons coaching here in SK.

Adopted father of Brian Bocock, Brad Boyer, Sharlon Schoop, Shane Jordan and Jeremiah Luster,Trey Webb and David Quinowski.
