Probably wouldn't have been my choices but solid enough, I guess.

Actually, Bailey is a pretty dumb choice with pitchers like Anderson and Porcello on the ballot and a 3 WAR shortstop like Andrus.

  • wilriv will be devastated.
  • Wow, I was not expecting Coghlan. I guess he had a decent enough year.
  • “Andrew,” said A’s catcher Kurt Suzuki, “was amazing.”
Quote from an article or Suzuki x Bailey slashfic?

I know you nerds know NOTHING about the real game of baseball, or any other athletic endeavor requiring teamwork under physical stress.

Coghlan had a good year 321/390/460, i would have gone with McCutchen for no good reason

McCutchen has a lot more positional/defensive value and was almost as good a hitter as Coghlan

also he’s less likely to look like a dumb choice in retrospect 5 years from now. granted, rookie of the year is supposed to be about which rookie actually had the best season, but i think a part of it to is kind of predictive… who is going to be the superstar of tomorrow? the answer this year was pretty clearly mccutchen

Do you really expect the BBWAA members to think that way, I would have good reason, for them its a popularity contest. I am happy that they didn’t pick Happ

With tentacles!

... null, void, invalid, iniquitous, unjust, damnable, reprobate, inane, empty of meaning and effect for all time
