Hairball's recipe for a better team
Drop Winn, start Lewis. Drop Molina, start Posey.
Poof, we’re a better team!

And the Nats too. It doesn’t sound like the Giants will up the payroll, so I don’t think they could even afford his arb. They will sign Nick Johnson, a Josh Bard-type, and a Jamey Carroll-type and call it.
I’m now only curious about Garko’s future, and who will be the 5th starter, if anyone.
Matt Cain: throwing complete game shutouts since 06'. No big deal.

Why does it sound like they won’t up the payroll? Didn’t Neukom say something like the payroll would be ‘whatever [Sabean] needs it to be’?
The very bad man traded my son...So now I'd like you all to meet my new son, Ryan "Aaron" Garko...Dammit it's just not the same!

Wait, so is that
No to the sentiment “Fuck no”, or is the subject line saying that it’s a no to say no to the sentiment “Fuck no”?

This can only end in a massive Bengie Molina contract

Baggs says don't worry
From everything I’ve been told, the Giants are open to bringing back Molina on a one-year contract, but probably not for anything more than the $6 million he made last season.
Molina has said on more than one occasion that he wants a two-year deal, minimum, and he feels he deserves a raise. So I’d put the chances of him re-signing somewhere between "remote" and "unlikely."
Even though Molina probably would get a salary bump in arbitration, I’d expect the Giants will offer it to him in order to be eligible for the draft picks. The Giants have reason to believe that Molina would decline the offer because he’s expected to have other suitors.

$5.5 Million! Get it done!
Context, people. More context is good. Less context is bad. If you're willing to be reductive, then you're willing to be wrong.

I am at a complete loss as to why a temperamental, whiny, aging catcher with an inability to get on base (let alone actually run from base to base) thinks he deserves a two year deal with a raise.
I hope the Giants aren’t the team that’s stoopid enough to pay him $15mil for 2 years.

Meh. Still not worth 2 years and anything north of $6mil per. Plus, he’s getting old. Will he be capable of the same on 37 year old catcher’s knees? Maybe if he had those same numbers 5 years ago. But he’s 35, and with his extra poundage, I can’t see him holding up well.

I don't think so.
That really is the reason why Bengie thinks he deserves a multi-year deal and raise.
